In 1995 to 2008 Herb Pascua trained Chinese Kempo Karate under the guidance of Grand Master Martin T. Buell and all qualified Instructors with Universal Kempo Karate School. He gained alot of knowledge in self defense and the awareness of vital areas on the body in which he develops self esteem, a positive attitude to everyone and a confidence in protecting himself and his family. In 2006 Herb Pascua had moved to Las Vegas from Hawaii and still continued training with UKKS. In 2007 He trained Kajukenpo which was founded in Hawaii under KSDI (Kajukenpo Self Defense Institute). He trained under the guidance of Grand Master Benny "Frankie" Luna from Ohana Kenpo Karate. He gained the skills that instill descipline,confidance,self control and Pride.
In 2015 he completed the National Rifle Association (NRA) Range Safety Officer course in which later in that year he became a NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and NRA Personal Protection inside the home Instructor under the guidance of NRA Training Councelor Maggie Mordaunt and NRA Certified Instructor Ken Ortega from Homeland Personal Protection. In 2016 he bacame a NRA Personal Protection outside the home Instructor and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO). Also He is a State Certified Concealed Weapon Permit (CCW) Instructor for Nevada, Utah, Florida and Arizona. April 2017 he became a Certified Firearms Instructor (CFI) for the Private Investigator's Licensing Board (PILB) February 2018 he became a Certified Tactical Weapons Instructor with Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP) training with California LAPD, LA County Sheriff, LA SWAT.
